Changes taking place in Lithuanian energetic sphere are important for all electricity users. We provide you with the most important information regarding the liberalization of the electricity market.

Changes in Lithuanian electricity market From 1 January, 2010:

  • Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant will be stopped
    35 % of the Lithuanian electricity consumers will have to buy electricity in a free market
    The tariffs will be determined only by competition
    Electricity consumers will have to choose their independent electricity supplier:
    From 1 January, 2010, electricity consumers with maximum permissible power equal or more than 400 kW;
    From 1 January, 2011, electricity consumers with maximum permissible power of 100 kW;
    From 1 January,2012, electricity consumers with maximum permissible power of 30 kW;
    From 1 January, 2013, determined electricity tariffs will be applied only for individual electricity users;
    From 1 January, 2015, undetermined electricity tariffs will be applied for all electricity consumers.
